The event was held in the agency’s Community Room and featured Ms. Shantale Miller, Public Housing Director, reading a story selected by one of the children in attendance. This was followed by the viewing of an age-appropriate cartoon. As the children viewed the cartoon, they were treated to snacks and a drink.

At the end of the event, the children each received a book bag filled with the needed supplies for their first day of school.

Ms. Lydia S. Bergeron expressed her thanks by stating, “The agency extends its sincere thanks to Mr. Ryan Broussard, with General Office Supply, for the donation of school supplies and to our agency employees for their efforts in making this a successful endeavor. A total of 15 book bags were distributed to the children in attendance.”

Thanks are also extended to our staff for assisting with this event: Ms. Shantale Miller, Ms. Karla West, Ms. Aereia Tisby, Ms. Benda Vitzthum, Mr. Dylan Simon and Mr. Milton Cormier.
